In the anime's opening, we meet Kanji Yakutani, a dedicated pharmacist working tirelessly in his molecular pharmacy laboratory. Driven by the tragic death of his sister from an incurable tumor, Yakutani is determined to advance the field of molecular pharmacy to cure diseases like the one that claimed his sister. His rigorous work ethic is underscored by his meticulous tracking of hours, but sadly, his exhaustion proves fatal, and he dies from overwork.
Yakutani's journey doesn't end there. He awakens in a new world, finding himself in the body of a young boy named Pharma de Medicis. He is greeted by Charlotte Soler, or Lot, a maidservant who helps him adjust to his new reality. Lot reveals that Pharma is a member of the prestigious De Medicis family, known for their historical contributions to the empire's pharmacy.
