Marjorie Grayson, an 83-year-old woman, admitted to stabbing her husband Alan Grayson, 85, to death at their home in Sheffield last year. She was suffering from "temporary dementia" at the time and pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.
The judge is considering alternatives to immediate custody. The couple's family described them as a loving and happy couple who abhorred violence and raised their children accordingly.
